    Araçlarımızı seçerken dikkate aldığımız belkide ilk özelliklerden bir tanesi aracımızın boyası ve rengidir. İkinci el satışlarında aracın değerini belirli bir şekilde arttıran bu özellik aynı zamanda dış etkenlerden en çok etkilenen ve korunması gereken özelliktir.

    Neden boya koruma?
    Çünkü aracınızın boyası güneş, asit yağmurları, kuş pisliği, yıkamada kullanılan kalitesiz malzeme vb. gibi etkenler nedeni ile gün geçtikçe koruma cilasını ve parlaklığını kaybeder. Bunun sonucu olarak zaman zaman rastladığımız boya solmaları ve güneş yanıkları ile karşılaşırız. Boya korumanın asıl amacı araç kaporta ve boyası üzerinde bir koruma tabakası yaratarak dış etkenlerin araç üzerindeki etkisini en aza indirmektir.

    Kime yaptırmalıyım?
    Eğer bu işin ustası değilseniz bu işi boya koruma işinde uzman kişilere bırakmanız en doğru karar olur. Boya koruma yapmak, cilayı araç üzerinde homojen olarak dağıtmak ve cilaya uygun koşulları yaratmak (ısı, toz, su vb.) her zaman mümkün olmayabilir. Yanlış uygulamalar sonucunda araç boyası uzerinde gün ışığı altında bakıldığında dalgalanmalar görünür. Yanlış bir boya koruma uygulaması uzerine, yeniden bir düzeltme için kesinlikle ikinci bir girişim yapılmamalıdır, bu işleri daha bir içinden çıkılmaz hale getirmekle kalmaz aynı zamanda araç korumanızın düzeltilme şansınıda azaltır. Bu gibi durumlarda aracınızın koruması yetkili kişilerce düzeltilebilir.

    Otomobillerimiz 0,75mm kalınlığında sacdan meydana gelir. Bu sacın üzerinde sırasıyla 0,025mm astar, 0,025mm kalınlığında boya ve son olarak da 0,06mm kalınlığında vernik tabakası vardır. Bu kalınlıktaki boya ve vernik katmanlarını oluşturmak için boya ve vernik işlemleri araca 2 ya da 3 kat olarak yapılır.

    Vernik tabakası aracın daha iyi ve daha parlak görünmesini sağladığı gibi altındaki boyayı da dış etkenlere karşı korumuş olur. Dolayısyla eski opak arabalara göre yeni arabaların boyaları daha uzun solukludur.

    Fakat dış etkenler zamanla vernik tabakasını yıpratır araç soluk ve cansız görünür. Verniğe zarar veren ekiler; UV ışınları, yıkama kimyasalları, aşındırıcı yıkama aparatları, asit yağmurları, kuş pisliği, ağaç reçinesi ve zamanla yüzeyin üzerinde biriken kir, toz, duman ve çeşitli gazlardır.

    Bunlardan en tehlikeli olanları ve boyama dışında geriye döndürülemeyecek olanları kuş pisliği ve ağaç reçinesidir. Kuş pisliği asit oranına göre kısa ve uzun zamanda aracın verniğini yakar. Ağaç reçinesini bir nevi japon yapıştırıcısı gibi düşünmek mümkündür, oradan ancak vernikle birlikte çıkacaktır. Bunların bilinsizce yüzeyden çıkartılmaya çalışılması da yüzeyde kötü çiziklere neden olabilir.

    Kuş pisliği görüldüğünde su ile bir kaç defa yumuşatılarak şayet rahatça çıkıyorsa silinmelidir. Ağaç reçinesi fark edildiğinde silme işlemi ile çıkmıyorsa buna özel bir çözücünün temin edilmesi kötü görüntüden veya daha fazla masraftan kurtulmaya yardımcı olur.

    Çeşitli cila ve boya korumalar aracın üzerinde bir katman oluşturulması ile özellikle asit yağmurları, UV ışınları (sınırlı olarak), yıkama kimyasalları, toz, duman ve çeşitli gazlardan korunmasına yardımcı olur.

    Cila türevi ürünler araç üzerinde genellikle 0,010mm kalınlığında bir tabaka meydana getirirler fakat bu katman kuş pisliği, temizlik esnasında meydana gelen çizilmelere karşı çok dayanıklı değildirler ve soldurucu UV ışınlarına karşı etkilerini çok çabuk kaybederler.

    Dayanıklılıkları ve yüzey üzerinde kalma süreleri aracı kullanan kişiye ve ürünün kalitesine bağlıdır. Bilinmesi gereken başka bir nokta ise görünmesede her yıkamada yüzeyden akmalarıdır.

    Çizilen ve rengi solan araçların pasta ile eski görünümüne tekrar kavuşturulması mümkündür. Burada hatırlanması gereken olay pasta işlemi verniğin çiziğin derinliğine eşitlenmesidir. Dolayısyla çiziğin kapanması değil vernik tabakasının inceltilmesi söz konusudur.

    Bu işin profesyonel ve duyarlı kişiler tarafından özenle yaptırılması araca hiç bir zarar vermez. Burada aracın durumuna uygun kalınlıkta pasta ve polisaj süngeri hatta polisaj makinesi kullanımı söz konusudur. Her araca ve her derinlikte çiziğe aynı müdahalenin yapılması aracın gereksiz yere daha fazla aşındırılmasına sebep verecektir.
    Markası ne olursa olsun işlemi yapacak kişinin yaptığı olayın bilincinde ustaklıkta olmaşı şarttır. Böyle bir uygulama yaptırılacaksa uygulamayı yapacak firmadan ve kişiden yapılacak işlemler hakkında sizi tatmin edici açıklamayı yapmasını istemeniz doğru olacaktır.

    Pasta sonrası araca mutlaka nitelikli bir koruma uygulanmalıdır. Aksi taktirde aracın eskisinden daha hızlı yıpranması kaçınılmazdır. Dolayısyla yapılacak korumanın dayanıklılık ve koruma süresi iyi araştırılmalıdır.

    Özellikle eski teknolojiye dayalı silikon bazlı koruma ürünlerinden uzak durulmalıdır. İkincil teknoloji ürünü olarak teflon silikondan daha iyiysede bununda artık eskiyen teknolojinin ürünü olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.
    Hemen hemen tüm cilalar içerisinde doğal carnauba denilen bir madde vardır. Bu madde aracın daha parlak görünmesinde ve korunmasında araca yardım etsede cilalar sık tekrar edilmedikleri sürece çok dayanıklı ve uzun süreli koruma sağlayamazlar.

    Son zamanların en büyük devrimi olarak nitelendirilen nano teknolojik korumalar doğallığı, dayanıklılığı ve koruma süreleriyle şu anda bu sektördeki en nitelikli malzemeler. Nano koruma yükselen bir grafiğe sahip, bunun bilincinde olan firmalar eski moda ürünlere nano adı vererek ya da içerisine ekledikleri küçük boyuttaki koruyucu maddeler ile ürünleri yeni teknoloji gibi satmakta ya da bu işi yapan merkezler aracılığıyla uygulatmaktadırlar.

    Dolayısıyla bu ürünler tercih edilirken karşı tarafın vereceği bilgilere dikkat edilmelidir.

    Kil(bir araç için 40 gr yeterli):Kil boya üzerindeki her türlü kiri,zift lekesini,boyaya yapışmış ufak reçineleri vb kolaylıkla temizler.Vernik yüzeyini boya korumaya hazır hale getirir.Hafif-orta-sert olarak satılır.Kili boya üzerinde uygulamak için sprey şişeye su+birkaç damla araç şampuanı konur.Sprey şişedeki su boyaya sıkılarak ve hemen ardından kili de boya yüzeyinde gezdirerek uygulama yapılır.

    Glaze(parlaklık vermek için):Boya korumadan önce elle ya da makine ile uygulanan amacı parlaklık veren üründür.Çeşitli markaların ürünleri vardır.Ayrıca sıfır boya üzerinde yıkamalar sonrası oluşan hafif kılcal çiziklere de dolgu yapan çeşitleri de mevcuttur.Uygulandıktan sonra mf bezle silinip parlatılır.
